My process for this piece was to utilize both the Looperlative LP1 looper controlled using the front panel and a Midi Mate with the dual JamMan Solo XT rig, all sync'd to the SDrum. I record using StreamLabs OBS and three web cams, a Blue Yeti room mic and I also record to Ableton direct from the mixer.

I edited the video to retain as much of the actual creation process as possible, everything was recorded and mixed/composited live. This brainjam dribble sonics noodle wander hunt is originally 90 minutes and I lovingly chopped in down to 10. I have hundreds of sessions recorded with this process. JamMan Solo XTs record each loop as .wav stems on SDHC and the I transfer the LP1 loops out as .wavs as well, so I have the master loops available in native tidbits.

For this session, I used the Strandberg Boden Metal Sarah Longfield 8 string through the vintage Boss GT3 multi effect pedal, a Vocalist Harmony on the end vocals and a DD55 for the timpani and triangle.

When I find a session that I want to remix, I pull all the various media into Premiere or Resolve and carve out all the rambles and redos and fiddles and flubs. Typically, I have no set length in mind, I just whittle until there are as few cringe or yawn points as possible.

At the point when cutting is done, I load the piece into Sound Forge or Audition to trim, sweeten, and djently mastering with limiting and/or compression. I try to not over process so that the pieces can retain their dynamics and breath. After I have a mix I can live with, I drop it back into the NLE and render for YT, etc.

I was originally going to title it 'Djumble Rumbles' (bc of the djent riff and rumbling timpani) but my daughter suggested 'Rumbles in the Djumbles' (twisting toward homage to Tull's song title, not the piece itself of course) and we all liked that better. A nice pair of closed back headphones are suggested.
